I first meet Dillon at his Mom & Step Dads wedding. We started planning his senior portraits as soon after. Its great when clients bring things with them to make their portrait sessions unique to them and their personality. So when Dillion pulled out his snowboard & gear I knew we were going to ahem a blast! A lot of guys don’t really look forward to having their photos taken, but I think I can get most of them (including Dillon) to admit it was pretty fun. All of their future wives can thank me now! haha!
Wyatt & Kimber’s wedding was in a rustic ranch country theme. They did an amazing job of incorporating lace, burlap, mason jars, and of course cowboy boots! Held at Kimber’s parents home in the Eagle foothills, it was absolutely perfect. From the barn door and
hay-bale alter, the rugged foothills backdrop with log pole fence posts, to the American flag flying to represent Wyatt’s military service at home & in Afganastain. Since the couple is stationed in Colorado, the wedding was also a reunion with family & friends- and it was a party!
Hair was done by Two Rivers Day Spa & Salon in Eagle, Idaho The couple decided to do a special “first look” before the wedding to see each other for the first time. This allowed them to have lots of time to enjoy the moment & each other. This is always my favorite part of the day! I have never see so many sunflowers before in my life.
There were beautiful sunflowers- everywhere! The cake & matching sunflower cupcakes (of course!) was made by the couples talented friend Nikki Henderson. Good ‘ol BBQ dinner was catered by local Mickey Ray’s of Eagle ,Idaho.
Wyatt & Kimber planned a party- and they didn’t disappoint! Kimber was given dollar bills for Wyatt to give her a “special” dance before removing the garter. It was hilarious!
Wyatt planned a special tribute to all military who has sever past, present & future.Summer and fires in Idaho go hand in hand. Although fires are not a good thing, when its a wedding day you just have to look on the bright side. Because of the nearby fires in the area (some that got a wee bit too close to the venu for comfort a couple weeks before) the sky was white with smoke. Which as a photographer- on a hot August day is actually a great thing! We had beautiful light for pictures, and the sunset was just amazing! Photographer: Heather Hillman

I don’t know how these two could be any more adorable! We had a wonderful evening exploring Boise’s downtown & capitol building. What a perfect backdrop for photos it was. I can’t believe that their wedding date is drawing near so quickly! I’m looking forward to their amazing day at Harmony Ranch. Congratulations Lauren & Zach!
Hailey is a senior at Borah High School, in Boise Idaho. She is a varsity cheerleader who spends a lot of her time between practice & her job. Its hard to believe for all of the seniors of Class of 2014 that the year is nearing a close, prom graduation, and bright new beginnings are on the horizon. Congratulations Hailey!
Summer weddings- what can be better? OK sometimes I can do without the heat- but whats the fun in that? Tim & Surine had the most amazing wedding. We started the day off at Simply Stylin’ in Caldwell, Idaho for a girls morning of hair, make-up and mimosas (of course!) The girls then headed to Surine’s (amazing beautiful!) home for lunch, and final preparations. While Tim & the guys spent the morning at a friends home. Special pins from Surine’s Tri Delta sorority sisters to cary down the isle with her Flowers by Nyssa Floral
The group meet at a fun location on the way to the ceremony for quick photos. It was a little bit of a challenge to keep Surine & Tim from seeing each other before the ceremony- but thanks to a savvy limo driver we managed. One of my favorite moments was when they held hands around the corner (avoiding seeing each other) and each prayed a prayer for one another.
This was also a perfect time for Surine to give her Groom a special gift… an album of Boudoir portraits we secretly did a couple months before the wedding. You have herd of blushing brides? Well I think we had a blushing groom!
The beautiful ceremony was held at Wild Hearts Springs in Wilder Idaho. Stunning views of the Snake River, Large grassy lawns with waterfall features, a covered bridgd, a large indoor venue (wich came in handy as a reprieve from the 105 degree day) and a stunning quaint chapel all in one venue! Plus the owners are absolutely the nicest people! Traditional Basque Dancers preformed during the ceremony The reception was held at The Txoko Ona Basque Center in Homedale. In traditional Basque fashion the food was AMAZING, and the Party didn’t stop all night long! Adam of Directly Driven DJ’s the party while Think Cake made the stunning cake and cupcakes (yum!) Adorable guest favors of handmade Jam and flower seeds for the Tri Delta sisters. Candace Aramburu, the wedding coordinator did an amazing job keeping the day on track and running smoothly. So many touches made this summer, elegant country farm themed wedding a memorable day for everyone. -Photographer: Heather Hillman of In His Image Photography by Heather Hillman

Meet Kelsy, Miss Teen Idaho. Who also happens to be a senior at Bishop Kelly High School. I was honored to be asked to photograph her head shots for her autograph cards. It was neat to learn all about the pageant world, Kelsy’s platform, buckle up, and her dreams to continue on to bigger titles. And a huge thank you to Sonia from Eye Candy faces did a fabulous job with Kelsy’s make-up! Good luck Kelsy, I am eager to watch what the future has in store for you!
I started to type Candace & Sean’s Engagement portraits- but then realized that wouldn’t be exactly correct. Although these ARE pre-wedding portraits- they are already married! But thats not stopping them from having the wedding day of their dreams! I have to say that I’ve photographed many couples who actually have tied the knot before the “wedding day” and those weddings are always a blast. No cold feet or jitters. Just celebrating love. Well their “engagement” session was no different- they are already so comfortable with each other that getting them to be natural in front of the camera was a breeze. Not to mention that I’m pretty sure neither of them could take a bad photo anyway! Congratulations Candace & Sean!
