Idaho Special Olympics 2013 Winter Games Torch Run

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is made up of officers, their families, friends, and athletes who serve as the Guardians of the Flame, as they run the Flame of Hope through the streets of Boise, Idaho. From the capitol building to The Cathedral of the Rockies the runners carried the flame to the Winter Games Opening Ceremonies. Where it was handed off to The Ada County Sheriff, and Boise Police Chief and then used to light the cauldron which will burn throughout the weekends events. As a Mom of a Special Olympics athlete ( 2nd picture below) it was a honor to be a part of this wonderful tradition.
