Julie is probably one of the most amazing ladies I have ever meet. She is a special education teacher, whose students absolutely adore her. By the grace of a mobile mammogram unit that visited her school, Julie found out that she had breast cancer. In a very short few weeks from learning her diagnosis she had a double mastectomy scheduled. So before her surgery, she decided to have this special photo shoot done. Even though Julie has an amazing outlook and is far more positive than I ever could be, I know that these photos are so important to her. To remember the woman she was, and still is. I am happy to announce that Julie’s surgery went well, and is starting chemo this week. Her strength and positive outlook is so inspiring.
